Warranty Help & Product Support

Purchased Here or Somewhere Else? Start With Proctor.

When something goes wrong with your gear, it can be difficult to know whether it is a warranty issue, repairable damage, or normal wear and tear. Bring it to Proctor Ski & Board, and we’ll help you understand the appropriate next step.

If your gear was purchased from Proctor, we can inspect the issue, help document it, and guide you through the manufacturer’s warranty process. Depending on the manufacturer, we may be able to submit and manage the claim for you.

If your gear was purchased somewhere else, we’re still happy to help. We can assess the issue, direct you to the appropriate manufacturer or retailer, and discuss possible repair options. Some manufacturers require claims to be handled by the original retailer, and Proctor may not be able to submit or manage claims for brands or products we do not carry.

How We Can Help

Gear Purchased From Proctor Ski & Board

We can help:

  • Inspect and document the issue
  • Locate relevant purchase information
  • Explain the manufacturer’s requirements
  • Submit the claim when the manufacturer permits us to do so
  • Share available updates and help coordinate an approved resolution
Gear Purchased Somewhere Else

We can help:

  • Take an initial look at the issue
  • Identify the appropriate manufacturer or warranty process
  • Explain whether the original retailer may need to handle the claim
  • Discuss available repair or service options

Our ability to assist with outside purchases depends on the product, manufacturer, and claim requirements. Any applicable service or repair charges will be explained before work begins.

How Manufacturer Warranties Work

Most gear sold by Proctor includes a limited warranty provided by the manufacturer. Each manufacturer determines its own:

  • Coverage period
  • Eligibility requirements
  • Claim procedure
  • Repair, replacement, or credit options

The manufacturer—not Proctor Ski & Board—makes the final decision about whether a claim is approved and what remedy, if any, is provided. We cannot guarantee the outcome of a claim or how long the manufacturer’s review will take.

When Proctor is able to manage the claim, we’ll communicate with the manufacturer and share updates as they become available.

What May Be Covered

Manufacturer warranties generally cover qualifying defects in materials or workmanship. Depending on the manufacturer, examples may include:

  • Ski or snowboard delamination not caused by an impact
  • Edge separation or certain base defects not caused by an impact
  • Binding components that fail during normal, appropriate use
  • Boot shells or buckles that crack without identifiable impact damage
  • Outerwear seams, zippers, laminates, or waterproof membranes that fail prematurely
  • Helmet or goggle hardware that fails outside of a crash

These are general examples only. Coverage depends on the manufacturer, product, age, condition, and circumstances.

What Is Generally Not Covered

Manufacturer warranties typically do not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by rocks, trees, rails, boxes, or other impacts
  • Base scratches, edge wear, rust, or cosmetic damage
  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or improper storage
  • Burns, stains, melted fabric, or heat damage
  • Damage caused during travel, airline handling, or roof-rack transport
  • Damage caused by modifications, alterations, or previous repairs
  • Secondhand products or products without adequate proof of purchase

Not covered by warranty does not necessarily mean your gear cannot be repaired. Our tune and repair shop may be able to help with many common issues.

How to Get Warranty Help

1. Contact Us Before Shipping Anything

Please do not mail or ship gear to Proctor before speaking with us. Manufacturers may require photographs, an inspection, a claim number, or other steps before an item can be returned.

The easiest option is usually to bring the gear to our Nashua store:

Proctor Ski & Board
195 Daniel Webster Highway
Nashua, NH 03060
603-888-1214
info@proctorski.com

2. Bring Your Gear and Purchase Information

Please have the following available when possible:

  • Receipt, order number, or purchase-confirmation email
  • Product name and model
  • Serial number, if applicable
  • Clear photographs of the issue
  • A brief explanation of what happened and when you noticed the problem

Please avoid altering or repairing the gear before it is evaluated, as modifications may affect warranty eligibility.

3. We’ll Explain the Next Step

Once we understand the issue, we’ll explain the appropriate process. Depending on the manufacturer, we may submit the claim for you or help you file it directly.

Your gear may need to remain at the store during inspection or processing. Manufacturer review times vary, especially during the winter season.

If the claim is declined, we’ll share the manufacturer’s decision and any explanation provided. We can also discuss whether repair or service options are available.

Not Sure Whether It’s a Warranty Issue?

That’s okay. Bring your gear to the shop or contact us before taking any other steps. We’ll help you determine whether to pursue a manufacturer’s warranty, contact the original retailer, or consider a repair.

[Get Warranty Help]

Warranty coverage, eligibility, processing requirements, and remedies are determined by each product’s manufacturer. Proctor Ski & Board can assist with eligible claims but cannot approve or deny a claim, guarantee its outcome, or determine the remedy provided by the manufacturer.
