Volkl Kanjo 84 Skis 2021
The Volkl Kanjo 84 provides freeride shape and construction in a ski that is more user friendly than many traditional freeride skis. Volkl says, "It is the perfect on-piste ski for off-piste skiers who enjoy on-piste skiing but don't want to be considered and 'on-piste' skier. " (Say that ten times fast!)
The easy to ride flex profile, 3D.Glass frame and piste friendly 84mm waist make it more approachable than it's big brothers the Kendo or Mantra. There's a thin layer of titanal under the binding area, creating a smooth, stable feel while allowing this slightly softer-than most freeride skis hold up to a variety of conditions for off-piste excursions. Intermediate skiers will like this ski, advanced skiers will love it.
What it all boils down to is - the Kanjo is a really fun ski. It has great rebound out of your turns, solid edge hold at speed, and is very playful. It allows you to make quick and nimble turns when you want to but open it up and hold a long GS turn on wider trails. While it's probably not the best powder ski, it can do everything else well.
Best for: Any skier looking for a rock-solid, stable carving ski for the front side of the mountain that is still lively and playful.

Marker Squire 11 ID: DIN 3 - 11, Alpine and AT boot compatible, Grip Walk compatible, easier step in than other Marker Royal family bindings - this would be the binding for smaller/lighter-weight skiers on the shorter ski.
Marker Griffon 13 ID: DIN 4 - 13, Alpine and AT boot sole compatible, Grip Walk compatible, for skiers 80+ lbs - this would be the binding most people would put on this ski.
