The turned up tails make for easier to turn and break free while the steep tip shovel improves tip initiation and deflection so it's easier to ride switch and through soft snow. They also feature a pairing of woodcore, fiberglass, and a 1 terrain metal layer that improves the edge hold and durability of the ski.
