MNC or Multi-Norm Certification means you can use boots that conform to ISO 9523 standards as well as ISO 5355 alpine and Walk To Ride boots, allowing for any boot to be used with these bindings. The Salomon Guardian 13 L also features a ski pole accessible Hike & Ride switch with two climbing aid positions, allowing for quick and easy switching between skiing and hiking, without having to remove the skis. If you are not sure about having a pin binding when charging but want the ability to skin, the 2021 Salomon Guardian MNC 13 Small is the binding for you. It fits a 260mm to 320 mm  boot sole.
